home sweet home

The busyness of Christmas and New Years and family being here is starting to die down. I took some time one day last week to use some of my birthday gift cards. Sooo, I bought this REALLY cute shelf with one and the "wish" sign with part of another and the red bottle and "Count your Blessings" sign is from the Christmas Tree Shop. I put it in the dining room on an big empty wall. It's SO cute!!

Did you know that pray and prayer in the Bible is translated from Greek AND Hebrew into the word, "wish?!" A dear friend recently told me that as she is preparing for a conference based on prayer. So, when I saw the sign that is up on that shelf, I just HAD to get it. Every day that I see it, I'm reminded that prayer is important. Just think, instead of wishing likek the world does, we can "wish" and tell God all about our hearts desires, hurts, and stresses. We can also pray and glorify our God who has given us the gift of "wishes." So next time you think, "I wish..." remember to PRAY to God, asking for His wisdom and guidance in whatever you were wishing for!

Aunt Pam!!! Here is my house... I tried to take a picture of the barn behind it, but it was too dark. I'm thinking a photo shoot with Patrick is necessary at some point. I'll be sure to take pictures of the barn then. We now have 7 inches-ish of snow, so it looks even prettier without mudtrampled grass.
time to go check on the expectant mother of 4-5 puppies...
