I think my mom should be an interior designer. Or at least featured in some magazine. I'm sitting in the sitting room.... you know, like old times whenthey used to have a room designed for visiting? It's so cozy and lovely. I think that it could be one of my favorite rooms in this house. Someday... I hope I have a sitting room...

Sitting rooms. Wouldn't it be nice if we could have a sitting room in which God was sitting right along with us. I know, I know... He IS here with me. But, wouldn't it be nice to have a friendly conversation while being able to see Him sitting right across from me? Yes, it most definitely would be.

I think, though, that we'd take it for granted after a while. It would become common place... we wouldn't visit it very often. Just like this room... I have only been in here a few times since Christmas. So, just like this room, we'd neglect to visit it. We'd forget. We'd ignore. And, eventually, it wouldn't corss our mind until we were alone and had no where else to run.

We're like that even without a sitting room devoted to God. We forget to sit down and talk to the Lord. We run out the door with our purses slung over our shoulders or our boots loosely on just to make it to work on time. And, prayer becomes commonplace. It sits on the back burner. We forget....

But, don't forget. Just don't. Find the sitting room... Sit in it a while and talk to the Lord.
