It's March. Today is so cold a baby wipe from B froze in the grocery cart on the way to the car from the store, and, no, I didnt park 10 miles away!

It is March. It's said this month is supposed to come in like a lion and go out like a lamb. Well, the sky is blazing blue (the kind that is deceiving, making you want to run around outside in 85 degrees), and I don't think the "lion" is coming anytime soon. Praise Jesus.

I was walking through the store today, yearning for the spring. yearning for warmth. yearning. and I remembered something from college in my 1 Peter class where we tore apart that beloved book....

"We can do anything for a little while!"

oh, i know that applies to the context of the book, but I also know that I have embraced that thought for everything in life. I can endure the cold, I can endure sleepless nights, I endured labor, I can do anything for a little while...

all because of Jesus.

So, today, I choose to be here... in this house. with my tiny family. I choose to do now.... even in tghe freezing cold when my heart longs for warmth, for sun, for fresh air. there is somethung SO GOOD about all that... but i choose to love now, watching my husband run the trash to the end of the driveway so he doesn't freeze....

life

is

indeed

good.
