Blue sky flashed a lovely little smile into my day today. The sky here is dark gray, dreary, and it is freezing today. But, on my way home, I was rounding a bend in the highway and there it was! Blue sky... poking through just for me.
Jesus knew I needed that little peek of pure bliss. He knew it would warm me up in the midst of this cold. that perfectly blue, beautiful piece of sky was a gift to me.
I love how Jesus does that. He sends us miracles daily (if you were here, you would know that piece of blue was a miracle amongst all of these dark, black clouds)! He sends us reminders of His love in the mundane, the lonely, the gray.
Hallelujah for the sneak peeks of His glory!
It's Christmastime- the glory of His forgiveness was unveiled so long ago!!
The little baby in the manger came to save us!!
A baby. Saved us.
So, I'm rejoicing for my gift of blue sky. For this life. For my even greater gift of baby Jesus.
And, I am thankful that, in life, when forgotten or lonely or longing for the depths of joy, there is Jesus. He takes us by the hand to lead us to the edge of His ocean of joy and love. He picnics with us. He listens. He loves fully and unhindered.
Ocean picnics. With blue sky. Never unhindered. Never alone. Never lacking joy.
I'm so glad baby Jesus, now grown and sitting at the right hand of our Father, takes us gently to those picnics under bright blue skies that He has prepared for us, so that we can be renewed and full of joy in His glorious presence.
so if you're lonely, or afraid, or sad, REJOICE. The Lord is near. He is the wonderful Counselor, the mighty God, the everlasting Father, and the Prince of peace.
He listens. He saves. He loves. He offers peace.
And picnics. Big picnics. Picnics of blessings unrivaled to that which the world offers. And He remembers us and loves us and feeds us till we are so full of joy, that it matters not our circumstance. only He matters.
Only that baby in the manger matters.
Because He came for us! And, He has changed us in the oceans of his grace and mercy and has thrown us into His ocean of love that we may be enveloped in joy!
This made us cry.......beautiful thoughts.......what a precious child you are.......Blessings in 2015.......love you so much....pop and nan
