anyway, i read all of Luke 2 this morning! How we lose sight of the meaning of Christmas as we buy presents, decorate trees, and watch Christmas shows!! God, omnipotent, immutable, everlasting, sent His Son (who technically is God) to this earth. He was frail and tiny, just as any other child is when he is born. His little hands could only grasp those fingers of His mother. She was young, only about 15. She held that Creator in her young hands. What could have been going through her mind? Scripture says she pondered it all in her heart. Her faith was great, greater than most understand. What an example to follow!
What would I say if I had the Creator of the world growing inside me? What would I do if I had a perfect child? What would I have said if I saw the Child laying in a manger, in a dirty stable? I think my heart would have melted, for in His humble beginning, He came for me. Though He was not exalted right away, He is now.
He came... He lived... He died. The beginning of that journey was Christmas. The beginning was in a stable, with two regular individuals. The beginning was a miracle. the beginning was the beginning of new life for me. and you. and the world.
don't forget such truths this Christmas. Reflect on the events of Jesus' coming as a humble servant of God in the form of a child...

You write so beautifully. You should consider a book someday. Have a great day...
