powdered sugar.

I have been thinking over the past hour or so about a beautiful set of mountains that Patrick and I saw today and yesterday. We climbed one. Gazed at others. And marvelled at God's handiwork. On the way home, there were a few mountains that had been powdered with a light dusting of snow on the very top. It was like God had sprinkled it on, just like we do with sugar on pancakes or other desserts. I think it symbolizes the end of our very sweet and precious weekend. :)

I think God sprinkles parts of our lives with "powdered sugar" to remind us that He wants the very best for us. Think of all those times that you have been encouraged by a friend or those times that you've stumbled upon a situation that turns out to be wonderful. It's like God says, "Yes, life is hard right now, but wait! I have a surprise." Those surprises and blessings tend to be the things or people we are most thankful for!

what has been your "powdered sugar" moment of this week? Look for them! They happen all the time. :)
