Motherhood changes you. I'm sure of it. It flips you upside down and twists you all around. It changes what you once thought tired was. It makes life messy. One never has time for reading novels, only brightly covered board books. Motherhood changes you.

I sit in the back seat of my parents suburban with a little baby sleeping soundly. She really isn't little anymore, but she will always be my baby girl. Her ringlets, soft and gentle, frame her face and neck. She is what changed me... She and her cute smiles and love of beans and slobbery kisses.

And I wouldn't trade it for the world.

Motherhood is worth the poopy diapers and the sleepless nights and the messiness and the craziness.

I am so grateful for the chance to be a mother to this little baby girl. My life is sweeter with her in it. God is so good, so incredibly awesome to have entrusted me with her to raise. I am eternally thankful for  the blessing I have in this little ball of energy.

Thank you, sweet Jesus for the opportunity to be changed by this little one and to have motherhood be one of my greatest accomplishments and joys.
