one sunshiney day...

Well, it has rained here for 5 days straight. I jumped in puddles, got soaked, and ran with village children anyway. However, last night I prayed for sun and God granted the request! :) We had a baptism this morning and the pastor here told me it was the first baptism that it hadn't rained! Hallelujah. It wsas a sweet time of remembrance and grace. I have grown to love the girls and man that were baptized and i was so excited this morning to watch them proclaim the Word of God through their obedience!

i'm tan and sunkissed and my skin feels so refreshed. I can almost match some of the lighter skinned Dominicans down here... but only almost. :) Many people have been a blessing to my heart here. One of the bus drivers makes my day every time i ride with him. Another missionary here warms my heart as she gives wisdom and always has a joyful attitude.... the little kids here light up my life... it's great.

I went to the capitol Thursday to pass out tracts. The country is so open here and, by the time we were done handing out the tracts, only a handful of people had refused to take one as opposed to the hundreds that DID take them. Hallelujah... did i mention that the people who didn't take them were white? true fact...

so, villages and orphanages have been visited and fed. Children have been hugged, comforted, and played with. God has done a work in this country. Every time i walk into a village, i just want to stay longer... i wish you all could experience it too!!

what can you do for God today? How can you reach those at your work, school, or anywhere really? find a way to show God's grace and mercy... just try...
