goodies opened: remote control boat, i pod touch, i tunes card, soccer clothing, sport water bottle... most of which were in the girly bird bag my mom wrapped his stuff in. hahahaha...

Happy Birthday, Little Brother!

the prize possession (other than two water guns, two books, a helmet, racing gloves, and cross bar pad to make sure his face stays cute... oh, and money from gram and pa.)

sometimes daddy's enjoy toys just as much as little ones.

i am in the middle of life here and i am pondering what is going to happen next. we got some random news today of one more thing that isn't going according to plan. then, i fell down the stairs from almost the top and i crashed on hudson's new bike. interesting culmination to the day.
Abraham and Sarah, back to my inspiration for the past few months, went through a lot of things, right? i mean, they had to wait for things... like a home, children, and other important things, too. so, here i am... Ashlee, the one striving to be a follower when i have no clue where we're headed. i wish i could take things more... more... calmly or maybe it's more accepting. that's what i am going to have to work on i suppose. tomorrow, i think God and I have a date... not just a ten minute one. i need to be fed. to drink up His truth. to be sustained with hope.
but, as i hear Patrick playing playstation and my baby brother (who isn't a baby anymore) reading to my mom, i can't help but wonder why we always miss the little blessings. like Hudson sounding out words. or like ice cream. or like sunny days. or grass stained jeans. or maybe even the warm air enveloping each one of us.
this is my goal: to remember faith without deeds is dead. to live as a daughter of Sarah. to be like Abraham. to enjoy the little things. to live...

ReplyDeletelife isn't always easy but....it's how you handle the rough times that God likes to see...He wants to know if you really do trust and believe in Him....i always tell my kids...life is 10 percent what you get...and 90 percent of what you do with it....waiting patiently is a wonderful attribute!! i love you girl!!
