day 1 without my family here (except dad) has consisted of laundry, groceries, making meals (for a few hours), mopping, snacking on all my food i've been making, and more. i still need to put my clean sheets on our bed. I still need to put the cooling cookies away and finish some dishes. oh and i still have to eventually put all the food in the oven. man alive. i think i ran arond in circles all day... but it's a good day.
we're going to have a feast tonight. BBQ jack chicken, scalloped potatoes, fruit salad, and cookies/cookie ice cream sandwiches. i felt like a child while making them since the ice cream went on the floor and the counter and even my nose. haha... but, they're good (i ate one... he he he).
i wonder what our feasts in heaven will be like. i mean, one of my friends told me cheesecake HAS to be in heaven and i'm pretty sure i want cookies and milk and blueberries and corn on the cob and mmm... potatoes. i bet heaven's food is going to be WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY better!!! yum!
tomorrow, Patrick has off of work. oh yay! i'm excited. i think we shall pick blueberries and run around and be like best friends. i love Fridays.
I'm clinging to the cross. i am not my own. I've been rocking out to music (as always) and so, today, i changed it up from Jesus singing to listening to Chip Ingram and James McDonald. Mmmm... James McDonald talked about friends... real friends and how we should Biblically, seek, choose, and treat them. I love refreshing word of Life amidst some of the sadness the world clings to. Today, i am thankful for friends. best friends. like my husband and college friend, for example.
okay... i'm off to put cookies away and do dishes and make my bed with fresh sheets (i love fresh sheets) then... i'm gonna try to sit down for an hour to look through more wedding pictures.
i love you. and the ice cream cookies are really good.. we ate a bunch of them the other night too!! :) i hope you have a fun day with patrick tomorrow...
