confidence

I do not wish to profound, but real. Comparison destroys contentment. My mother always told me that. She has made all of her children strong by her example of confidence, even with all of our different personalities. I am thankful for confidence in life, so that I don't walk around feeling insecure at every comment. To be honest, I don't normally struggle with comparing myself to others. I learned at a young age that it was worthless, and my personality doesn't really thrive on it. But, that phrase opens my eyes in a lot of situations. When someone, other than myself, is unhappy, a lot of the time it is because they are comparing what they have, or who their friends are with other people around them. It has become a "game" in this world. If one does not have what they want, they comment about it to other people, sometimes knowing it will help them get what they want, other times, not even aware of what they are saying. I challenge you today, do not compare yourself with others. Seek God's face. Seek His will. Seek a life full of compassion and grace, because of Him. Be strong.

"Today's the day. The sun is shining. the tank is clean. OH! THE TANK IS CLEAN!" -Finding Nemo.

Today, the fish at the dentist office will be watching as Patrick gets all numb and comfy before they pull some teeth. haha.... all i can think of is the fish in Nemo when they were arguing over which dental tools the man would use. I don't even know if our dentist office has fish, since i haven't been to this new one yet, but I'm still thinking of Nemo's friends. haha

We went out last night with my two best friends. I love them. We had a ball, and it was totally worth it to drive down to Clarks Summit to see them. I am thankful for good friends today.

Like I said, be strong. Rise above the world. Don't give into comparison, or selfishness, or negative attitudes. It's not worth it. Love God. Serve Him. Be confident in Him. You will be a much happier person.
