summer ended today.

yesterday, summer was here as ever before. today, the cold has set in, the sky is preparing for rain in the next three days, and i'm in a sweatshirt and my sweatpants that i found. It's been kind of a lazy day for me. One of church and Wegmans and reading. there is just nothing like a good book... i'm lost in mine today. the boys are outside playing in the dirt and manure... or something. and, i'm waiting to have cake and ice cream for my parent's anniversary. i made them the most amazing present i have ever thought of (for them, at least). :)

last night, while showering, i was praying to God, telling Him how much i was looking forward to hearing Pastor Scott preach His Word. Funny, I craved spiritual depth and substance last night. this morning, Pastor Scott didn't preach at all. I didn't get the spiritual depth i longed for. apparently God had something else in mind...

someone thought of me this week. she will never know how much it meant to get a random, yet vague little note from her (yes, i am still wondering what she made me). It was like God was saying, whatever happens today, know you are thought of and loved. i needed it the day i read it as i felt like i was going to face... well, something significant. thanks, Annie.

no update on the house. the cold weather is rapidly approaching, and i think i am going to be forced to put all the summer clothes in the bins that were packed with winter clothes for the move. but, that's okay. it'll be a little adventure... maybe i'll even find things i don't need anymore (it's always good to downsize).

have a terrific week.
